Are there torque specs for the clamps on a truck cap?
I have an A.R.E. cap that is mounted to my truck with four clamps. I looked on A.R.E.’s website to see if there are torque specs for the clamps, but couldn’t find any. Got any ideas for safe torque settings?

I have never seen any specs for these covers but I always make sure that they are tight enough and if those small clamps are too small I have in the past gone out and bought 4 to 6 c-clamps and cut small blocks of wood 1 inch by 4 inches and tighten the c-clamps to those.
As long as the cap stays put doesn’t matter.
